We are passionate about keeping our users’ information safe and secure, so we do plan to enable login challenges for domains using SSO later this year. ![]() Upon hearing of this confusion, the launch of the interstitial prompt was temporarily rolled back for all domains until SSO domains can be fully excluded, at which point it will be relaunched. This understandably caused confusion and led to escalations to admins. While the challenge feature is not enabled for domains using SSO, many users in these domains did see a prompt to enter their phone number as a means of verifying their identity in the future. The initial intent was not to expose this feature to users with 2-Step Verification enabled and domains using SSO. The login challenges feature was rolled out slowly over the past few weeks, and impacted a large number of domains this week. Back in May, we communicated the upcoming launch of login challenges-a new feature aimed at keeping domain accounts safe from hijackers, even if they have attained a user’s username and password. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ‘Some dyslexic students find typing easier than handwriting, as the tactile element of pressing the keyboard can help with managing difficult words,’ says Linda Eastap, education manager at the British Dyslexia Association. ‘Children who most need to touch-type are those who want to go further in education, but so many professions use computers, even if it’s just for customer records, and yet you’ll stand in the garage, optician or carpet shop and watch staff typing with one finger.’Įvidence shows that learning to touch-type can be a particular benefit for children with dyslexia. ‘If you put yourself next to a touch-typist, you’ll be about half the speed,’ she explains. Parents sometimes take the attitude that, ‘I can’t touch-type and I manage just fine, so why should my child learn?’ But Sue says that while you may think you’re managing well as a one- or two-finger typist, that’s not the case. ‘Children who learn in primary school will reap the benefits in secondary and beyond.’Ħ. ‘In secondary schools, most coursework is expected to be typed, and being able to touch-type by the time you’re at university and writing essays of thousands of words could save you 350 hours over the course of your degree,’ Sue says. With pupils still having to handwrite the majority of their work at primary school, and complete exams on paper, parents often question the necessity of learning to touch-type. It sets them up for secondary school and beyond ‘Touch-typing can be learnt later on, either at secondary school or in adulthood, but the later you leave it, the more bad habits you’ll have to unlearn. ‘Age seven or thereabouts is ideal, because their hands are the right size, they have the concentration span, and because they love being on the computer, they’re motivated to learn,’ Sue explains. Touch-typing may seem a rather grown-up skill, but primary school kids are perfectly placed to learn. Primary age is the best time to learn to type ‘Why wouldn’t you want to give your child that advantage?’Ĥ. ‘A child who can’t touch-type will produce work at half the speed of a child who can,’ she says. John Sutherland, professor of English literature at University College, says, ‘You want to put wings on the heels of your children? Teach them to touch-type. Touch-typing gives kids an advantage over their peers ![]() ![]()
The story harkens back to the original concept Stan Lee and Jack Kirby had for when they created the X-men which was equal rights for African Americans. That would start with X-Men First Class set in the 1960s and directed by Matthew Vaughn. #X MEN FIRST CLASS AMAZON PRIME SERIES#In 2011 they began a new series which would start back in the 1960s and cover each decade after that as the group progressed. I really hope Fox keeps Vaughn as director and that will allow Henry to come back and build off his magnificent effort here. 20th Century Fox finished its first run of three X-Men movies in 2006 with X-Men: The Last Stand. With the CD release finally hitting the states we can now enjoy what is without a doubt Henry Jackman's best work to date. Not only is it an intense summer action score but a brilliantly structured and executed score, period. ![]() Henry Jackman knocks it out of the park with this score and lays the strongest musical foundation down that this franchise has ever seen. #X MEN FIRST CLASS AMAZON PRIME FULL#That central motif comes into full fruition and we are left with a quiet and touching conclusion in the track "Mutant And Proud". Jackman meshes his central theme with the darker Magneto theme to great effect. When he agreed to rewrite Tex X, a first screenplay by an unknown history Ph.D. The final act of the score is an intense, stunning and grand experience. Middle-class nightmare: Arkin and Folk in The In-Laws. Magneto is the main focus of the film and it's his inner struggle that gets the bulk of the story so the music plays heavily on his character. This lets us connect to them on a human level and become emotionally invested in their struggles. This is a good thing because we are meeting these characters before they become "heroes". #X MEN FIRST CLASS AMAZON PRIME TV#The X-Men have never really had a theme (not talking about the TV show), and while Jackman has one here it's not a superhero theme that maybe we all are accustomed to. Towards the final act of the film my eyes were watering in the theatre because the music became so overwhelming that it took hold of me. I was surprised at how big the score was and how much of the characters' inner struggles were reflected within the music. I think the big thing that Henry brought to the table here is an emotional wallop. The heart and soul of the score though is Jackman's unique voice and much of it reminded me of Kick-Ass. Some people may compare the score to Inception as it borrows a few of Hans' elements here and there. While I would call this an orchestral score it definitely has plenty of electronics and hard electric guitar. For X-Men: First Class the music takes a very different stylistic approach than anything we've heard. Jackman was also part of the musical effort of Kick-Ass where his collaboration with director Matthew Vaughn began. He's also done some collaborative work with Hans Zimmer on a few of Zimmer's scores and worked with Hans for the score to Henri IV. Jackman has just started getting his solo career underway with such films like Monsters Vs. I'm happy to say that Henry Jackman does indeed provide this scattered franchise with its best score yet and what ended up being a damn great score overall. The end result is each film feels disconnected. ![]() Each of those brilliant composers did their own thing with no regard to what the previous composer did before them. For X-Men we started with Michael Kamen and from then on saw John Ottman, John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams and now Henry Jackman. ![]() Every other franchise whether they're able to keep the same composer all the way through (Pirates Of The Caribbean/The Pink Panther) or not (Harry Potter/James Bond) is usually able to find a unified voice and every composer who jumps on board tends to stay in the style of that franchise. |
